Known as a sisterhood of friends, one of the main purposes of Omega Nu is to meet the needs of our local community. This service is accomplished by the donation of time by the membership in raising chapter funds to be used for diversified programs throughout the community.
The current membership consists of a dynamic mix of women with various careers, interests and ages. Today, Omega Nu has 12 Northern California based chapters, each of which serves its own community through charity and service.
Currently, our two signature fund raising events are the Spring Luncheon and the Omega Nu Fall Barn Dance.
Year after year the Spring Luncheon has been a huge success with nearly 500 attendees. Guests enjoy a delightful lunch, an interesting speaker, a boutique, and loads of raffle prizes. Recipients have included organizations such as Passages, Skyway House, Chico Creek Nature Center, The Esplanade House and many more.
Back by popular demand, the Omega Nu Fall Barn Dance is held at the historic Patrick Ranch. Guests enjoy a fantastic Barbecue, Casino, Raffle, Silent Auction, while dancing the night away to live music in an actual barn.
Funds from these events and other donations help aid in local high school scholarships in addition to many various other worthy non-profit organizations. Beta Chapter of Omega Nu has donated over $165,000 in the past 5 years.
